The Annual General Meeting of Lismire GAA was held in the clubhouse recently. In his opening address, Chairman, Joe Ahern, paid tribute to the club members who gave up their free time to do work for the club and to the mentors who looked after the various teams. He congratulated the school team on winning the Rural Schools 9 a side hurling competition and paid special tribute to Deirdre O’Reilly on winning her 7th All Ireland Senior Ladies Football medal. In her annual report Club Secretary, Joanne Kiely gave a comprehensive account of the clubs activities during the year.
