Lismire beat Freemount by 2 points after a tightly contested game at Lismire in bitterly cold conditions on Wednesday April 4.  Freemount made the early running scoring a point in the first minute but despite dominating the chances and possession they were unable to add to this.  It took 20 minutes before a second point was scored this time by Lismire and the sides exchanged further points to leave it level at the break 3 points each.  Freemount again started the second half strongly and scored 1-02 without reply in the first few minutes.  However Lismire settled and began to dominate the possession and chances outscoring Freemount 1-07 to 0-03 in the remaining time to run out 1-10 to 1-08 winners.  This followed the recent win over St. Johns and is the first time in many years our footballers have recorded back to back victories.  We now have just one game remaining in the league, against Glenlara, and this should be played before the County Championship clash with Deel Rovers on April 28.
